Where do you go for a part on a @WeberGrills Firepit that was made back in the 90s?
Well Foster’s Grill Store Of Course!
My buddies Craig and James picked up and surprised me with a vintage Weber Firepit with wood handles (last made in the 90s). I posted about it and wouldn’t you know, I get a message from Boots at Foster’s telling me he has the official cover that was made for it up in the upstairs storage at Foster’s.
Incredible. This is why you do business locally. What great service. You think you’re gonna get that call from Home Depot? Oh Helllll No!
Last made in the 90s, now in my possession thanks to Boots at Foster’s!

You need a part for your old grill? you need a new grill? Do yourself a favor and go to Fosters.

Speechless- A Bunch Of Fellas From @WeberKettleClub Surprised Me With My Grail Grill- An Ivory Mastertouch @WeberGrills Kettle
I had a pretty rough day yesterday with a busted up back and an early 3:45AM start at the dock. It was broken up with a visit around noon from a couple of fellas from my local crew, James and Craig (both kettle fanatics as well) with a pristine never used before @WeberGrills Firepit with wooden handles which is an incredibly generous rare gift.
Then the day went on and my back was screaming at me, felt like someone literally took a sledgehammer and wacked me in my lower back. Only thing, it’s just my cousin and I down here at teh dock and we still needed to offload a shitload of lobsters. this means having to lift 130 lb crates all afternoon and late evening. Most days we get out by 6 but we had a couple guys stay out til 7:30. I just kept telling myself to bear down and eventually it would be over and I could hit it with the Theragesic and heating pad, just needed to get through a couple more hours.
Pull into the driveway at 8Pm and under the deck is a Weber Grills box which was the size I know is for a 22 inch grill. I had NO IDEA where it came from but it was really dark and I had to turn my cellphone light on to hold it up to the box only to realize it was an IVORY Mastertouch Limited edition that you can only get in Canada and a few European Countries. I’d been pining for this grill ever since it was released, it is so damn classy.
The packing slip listed my good friend from the Kettle Club @JEBIV (Joe Ball) from Doraville GA who Kate and I had the pleasure of having over the house this past summer when they were in town.
I immediately messaged Joe imploring him to tell me who was behind this and if it was him that that was an over the top gesture. He simply said “You get one clue- WKC” and the words ‘pay it forward’ had been mentioned.
The www.weberkettleclub.com members are a very special breed. I’ve been around the internet an online message forums since the start of the internet. I’ve been involved with dozens of them actively. NEVER HAVE I WITNESSED THE CAMARADERIE AND GENEROSITY THAT EXISTS ON THE WKC Check out the WKC Forums here
So here I sit unable to personally thank the specific people that were involved in buying the grill and having it shipped to me, just speechless.

My boys surprised me with a @WeberGrills Fire Pit For My 50th!
James and Craig show up at the dock and drag my ass outside, telling me they wanted to show me something.
Lo and behold-

These guys!

Creating The Ultimate Sandwich On The @WeberGrills Weber Q 200
The Mrs wanted a gas grill to cook outdoors. After a search on Craigslist I picked up a Weber Q 200 that had great bones but needed a good amount of douching. A couple of hours or elbow grease, a rubber scraper and a scotch brite pad she was ready to cook on.
I can see why a Weber charcoal BBQ guy would like the Q series as a gas grill. They are very simple to put together, the parts are readily available (thank you Boots at Foster’s Grill Store), and they have some great features like the way the grate is designed to prevent flare-ups and grease drippings from clogging your burner tube.
I’d recommend a Weber Q over any Sears bought $100-$800 gas grill that will disintegrate in a year or two’s time.
Here’s a fantastic sandwich I made yesterday on the Weber Q 200 at the dock-
One Asiago Focaccini Roll
Sista Felicia’s Pesto
Buffalo Mozzarella Sliced
Five Sundried Tomatoes Chopped
# Slices of Parma Prosciutto Sliced Thin.
Drizzle a twirl of evoo on the nonstick pan and a couple of pads of butter.
Grill on medium/low heat to warm the pan. Layer ingredients on the roll and place on the pan for ten minutes or until golden brown, then flip on other side for another 5.
M10 Red Ball Vent Knob Modification For @WeberGrills
Bought these metal female threaded M10 stainless bolts on Amazon Link to purchase here

At Hometown Ace Bought M10 Stainless Bolt and Lock Washer.

Started pilot hole by lining up the bolt on the vent and marking the middle with a much smaller drill bit. Once the smaller bit was through went through with a 3/8ths which was a perfect fit. then just put everything through as shown and tightened.
Done-

This mod can be done on any bare Weber vent.
